Why this stop matters
BLUE500 view
Large, fully serviced marina at South Queensferry immediately beneath the Forth bridges. Port Edgar is one of Leg B’s strongest service, launch/recovery and long-term layover locations and also has significant destination appeal.
Port Edgar states about 300 berths. Current 2026/27 tariffs include daily, weekly, monthly, six-month and annual pontoon berthing plus boat-park storage. Pontoons have power/water and free Wi-Fi. The marina has CCTV, overnight patrols and regular boat checks. A Wise slipway travel hoist handles vessels to 25 tonnes; a Manitou handles smaller craft to 3.5 tonnes and mast stepping. Cradle/trailer storage is available, and the marina has a large chandlery, showers/changing and on-site food.

What a cruiser needs to know
Field verification still required
Confirm visitor berth allocation/VHF 80 procedure, practical tidal constraints in different parts of the marina, unattended-boat power policy, whether staff boat checks can form part of a BLUE500 layover recommendation, exact hoist dimensions as well as weight, trailer self-launch options and current repair-provider capability. Assess South Queensferry/bridges as a destination.
